Destruction All-Stars was previously one of the exclusives launching with the PS5 for the new retail price of $70. However, as we hadn’t seen much of the title, many began to question if it was going to hit its launch date.
This morning, PlayStation confirmed that the title is being delayed until February. But furthermore, it will now be included in your PS Plus subscription for free for two months. PlayStation stated the following via a blog post this morning:
Destruction AllStars is a multiplayer game that’s at its best when you’re competing with gamers online from all around the world. We want as many people as possible to experience the mayhem on PS5, and what better way to do that than to provide the game to our PlayStation Plus members?
Our Take
This isn’t all too surprising and given the lack of hype for the game, and it needing a community to thrive, this is likely a very smart decision by PlayStation and the developer. Hopefully they get the time they need to polish it and millions of players can enjoy it come February.
