When it comes to a continuous stream of fresh content, few games do it better than Borderlands 3. Since its launch last year, the teams at Gearbox have released a wealth of free updates, enhancements, and fixes all alongside four expansions. Well, they’re not done just yet.
Today the team announced Season Pass 2 which will feature two core new additions. First is the “Designer’s Cut” which will launch on November 10th just in time for the Xbox Series X/S launch. At this time, pricing has not been announced.
According to the official announcement, in the Designer’s Cut, launching on November 10 for all platforms, you’ll get an additional Skill Tree for each Vault Hunter and a brand-new game mode called Arms Race. We’ll be diving deeper into these features in the coming weeks, with some big reveals planned:
- October 20, 9:00 AM PT – Amara/FL4K new Skill Tree reveals with livestreams and a special episode of Ultimate Vault Hunters
- October 22, 9:00 AM PT – Moze/Zane new Skill Tree reveals with livestreams and a special episode of Ultimate Vault Hunters
- October 29, 9:00 AM PT – The Borderlands Show premieres, featuring the new Arms Race mode and much more
- October 30, 9:00 AM PT – The Bordercast debuts the first live, hands-on Arms Race gameplay
The team is saving information on the Director’s Cut expansion for a future date, but it is expected to launch in Spring of 2021. We’ll keep you posted as we learn more.
