Seems like COVID has taken another major title off the launch schedule for this holiday season.
The next major title from Arkane Studios (Dishonored, Prey), Deathloop was scheduled to release for the PS5 at launch as a timed console exclusive while arriving on the Xbox Series X in 2021. Now, the game has been pushed to 2021 entirely. Arkane issued the following statement.
Our Take
Arkane Studios has developed engaging and interesting titles over the last several years and we were highly anticipating Deathloop this fall with our shiny, new PS5s. However, as we continue to say, developers are facing major challenges right now so you can fully expect more titles to be delayed in the near future. We certainly hope this gives Arkane the time they need to finish Deathloop in their vision!
