Xbox Games Showcase : Full Summary and Recap

Today was the day many Xbox fans had been waiting for. The Xbox team showcased a wide range of titles for the Xbox platform including of course Halo Infinite. Including the pre-show, there’s an awful lot to cover so let’s get to it!

To note, the stream was in 1080p/60fps when watched but the majority of the trailers below are available to watch in 4K/60fps. Be sure to select the 4K option!

Halo Infinite

The obvious star of the show, Halo Infinite is real…and it’s spectacular. We got a look at the synopsis of the campaign along with details on overall experience fans can expect such as the grappling hook and open-world, when it launches alongside the Xbox Series X this fall.

State of Decay 3

One of the most unexpected announcements of the show, State of Decay 3 is coming and what we know is, it will be a bigger and more polished experience than prior entries. We’re excited as the possibilities.

Avowed

Here it is. The long-awaited first-person RPG from Obsidian Entertainment was finally announced and it looks to be the adventure we’ve been waiting for. It takes place on Eora, the same world as Pillars of Eternity.

Forza Motorsport

It’s great to see Motorsport back and man, does it look incredible. We love that Turn 10 is taking their time and hearing that it will be 4K/60fps with ray-tracing with new engines is very exciting. It’s not coming in 2020, but it’s good to see Motorsport getting the refresh it deserves.

Everwild

We saw more of the next new IP from Rare and it’s simply gorgeous. We can’t wait to hear more details on this world.

The Medium

Today we saw more of the new title from Bloober Team and they highlighted how the game renders two worlds at the same time. It was very impressive.

Fable

It’s real. It’s coming. And it looks to have the sense of humor we expect from Fable. Enjoy the first teaser.

Tell Me Why

The first chapter in Tell Me Why, the next story-driven title from the developers of Life is Strange, releases on August 27th.

Psychonauts 2

The latest trailer for Psychonauts 2 showed the collaboration with Jack Black on some of the score while also highlighting new gameplay and worlds!

Warhammer 40,000 Darktide

A new Warhammer game is on the way from the developers of Vermintide and it looks like another fun, 4 player co-op adventure.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2

The award-winning PC franchise loved by millions of players is making a true next-gen console debut with S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. Experience one of the biggest open-worlds to date, filled with radiation, mutants, and anomalies.

The Outer Worlds : Peril on Gorgon Expansion

The Outer Worlds was one of our favorite games of last year so we’re very happy to see the first expansion coming September 9th!

Balan Wonderworld

From legendary game creator Yuji Naka comes the first title from new Square-Enix brand Balan Company. Enjoy!

As Dusk Falls

One town. Two families. Three decades of secrets. As Dusk Falls is an original interactive drama from INTERIOR/NIGHT that explores the entangled lives of two families across thirty years. Starting with a robbery-gone-wrong in small town Arizona, the choices you make will have a powerful impact on this epic story of sacrifice, betrayal, and resilience.

CrossfireX Campaign

A sprawling global conflict rages between the Global Risk and Black List mercenary factions in an immersive and cinematic single player experience from Smilegate Entertainment and Remedy.

The Gunk

Definitely an odd title, but the game looks really sharp. From the creators of SteamWorld, embark on an all-new adventure in a vast and alien world where you’ll encounter terrifying enemies and challenging puzzles on your quest to unravel the mystery of a forgotten planet, while saving it in the process.

Destiny 2

While obviously not new, Destiny 2 with all of its expansions is coming to Game Pass later this year and on the Xbox Series X, Bungie will be releasing an update for the game to run at 4K / 60fps.

Dragon Quest 11 S

Dragon Quest has never appeared on an Xbox console but that changes later this year on December 4th when Dragon Quest 11 S will launch on Xbox including Game Pass.
