Kingdoms of Amalur was an often requested remake and fans were extremely excited when THQ Nordic officially announced the revival a few weeks ago.
This morning, it was announced that the title will officially launch on September 8th for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. You can find the full details on the remake via the title’s main site here.
What’s even more interesting however, is the developer announced that an “all-new” expansion would be released in 2021. Though, no specific details were shared at this time.

This is great news for fans and makes the beginning of September an incredible time for remakes given Tony Hawk’s Collection also releasing on the 4th. It’s also very exciting that a new expansion is coming for the title and it begs the question, is this a franchise that THQ Nordic sees a longer future with? Time will tell.
