Halo Showtime Series : 5 Episodes Shot, Still on Track for 2021 Debut

A new report out of Variety documents the growth of the Hungarian Film market and how many US production companies have begun filming there. Due to COVID-19 and recent travel restrictions, that is making it difficult for some companies to continue with their projects. Fortunately for the Halo Showtime series, it doesn’t seem to be impacted.

Variety reports that over $41 million has been spent on the show so far with 5 full episodes having been shot to date, and production continuing.

“…and filming of Showtime’s live-action, scripted series “Halo” will resume at Korda Studio. Both studios are close to Budapest.”

“…spend on Showtime’s “Halo,” to be released in 2021, exceeded $41.3 million…”

Our Take

The fact that we already have a fantastic Witcher series that’s continuing on Netflix and Halo and Last of Us shows in the works makes us extremely happy. We just hope that the companies and studios continue to take care of the IPs and do them justice!
