After it was delayed “indefinitely” out of May due to the global COVID-19 disruption, many wondered when The Last of Us 2 would release and even if Sony would hold it for the PlayStation 5’s launch this holiday. Well, fortunately for fans, they won’t have to make much longer.
Sony announced this morning that The Last of Us 2 will release on June 19th and Ghost of Tsushima will then release a month later on July 17th. You can find the official announcement from Head of Worldwide Studios Herman Hulst here.
Our Take
As we’ve said many times over, these are some of our most anticipated titles this year and we’re happy to finally see them have solid release dates. We cannot wait to continue the journey with Ellie!
