How about some good news in these trying times?
In an investor Q&A earlier today, translated by VGC, CD Projekt Red President Adam KiciĆski confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will have âno less DLC than The Witcher 3 hadâ. KiciĆski continued by saying to expect “a similar scenario to The Witcher 3″ as it relates to the timing of the DLC announcements.
For those that may not remember, the expansion pass for The Witcher 3 was announced prior to the core game’s release. Thus, we should hear about Cyberpunk 2077 expansions by the end of the summer. And it goes without saying, the expansions for The Witcher 3 were some of the greatest DLC ever created in many people’s opinion.
Possibly the even better news however, is that KiciĆski has also stated that he is “confident” in the game’s new September release date despite the complications for developers due to Covid-19.
âSince mid-March we have been working from home, while ensuring continuity of all our of operations,â KiciĆski said. âOur goals havenât changed; first and foremost, we intend to release Cyberpunk 2077 in September. We feel motivated and have the necessary tools at our disposal to meet this goal.”.
Our Take
This is good news indeed. For many, including our fans who took a recent poll, Cyberpunk 2077 is their most anticipated title of the year so to hear that it is still on track for September is music to our ears. Bring it on!
