As with the rest of developed industries, game development is not immune to the outbreak of COVID-19. Several major publishers including EA, Bethesda, and Xbox have already moved their teams to working from home. CD Projekt Red is now doing the same and of course the first question many of us want to ask is, but what about Cyberpunk 2077!?
Thankfully, the team will continue polishing the title for release in September as planned. Here is their official statement:
We’re certainly glad that companies are taking this global threat seriously and giving developers their space to continue working remotely. Given the nature of much of the work, it only makes sense. And of course, yes, we are glad that Cyberpunk 2077 is still coming in September.
