The second expansion for Borderlands 3 arrives next month on March 26th. Titled “Guns, Love, and Tentacles” it will feature a new planet, loot, enemies, and more. It is included in the season pass or will be available for purchase separately. Here are the details:
- The sub-title of the expansion is “The Marriage of Wainwright and Hammerlock” and the two are requesting your assistance.
- Gaige, the DLC Vault Hunter from Borderlands 2, returns as an NPC.
- The new planet is an ice world titled Xylourgos and on it you will find new enemies such as wolven and occultists with eldritch powers.
- New players can skip right to the DLC with a level-matched Vault Hunter.
- A host of new legendary loot can be acquired including weapons, Vault Hunter heads and skins, room decorations, and more.
Our Take
Borderlands 3 always manages to push the envelope and thus this expansion seems to fit right in! With the theme, returning characters, and as much chaos as ever, it’s sure to be blast. We’re particularly excited to visit a new location and just hope it’s expansive.
