One of the more interesting rumors we’ve seen lately is regarding some of our favorite horror IPs in Resident Evil and Silent Hill. While the Resident Evil 8 news has been known for some time now (that its production is a little behind due to RE2 and RE3 remakes), what we’re most interested in is new information on Silent Hill.
The rumor comes courtesy of AestheticGamer on Twitter who has reliably leaked information in the past. According to his sources, there are not one but two Silent Hill games in the works. Konami had been shopping the IP around a few years ago and has landed on one title being a soft reboot of the IP while another title being in the vein of a Telltale style or Until Dawn narrative game.

This is just a guess, but I'd say there's a high chance one or both of those titles may be revealed this year, but we'll see. I don't actually know their plans or anything about these games other than their existence though, I don't know much about the inner workings of Konami.

Our Take
Our crew here at SG is mixed on horror games but for those that love them, Silent Hill is often the most requested reboot. We certainly hope this is true and given the success of titles like Resident Evil 2 remake, we have to think Konami is finally seeing the light with Silent Hill. Right?
