The Witcher is one of the hottest IPs in the world right now with reports that the Netflix series is the most watched new series on the streaming platform. Well more good news seems to be on the way as a recent rumor of an animated title has seemingly been confirmed.
The new animated film is titled “The Witcher : Nightmare of the Wolf” and is moving to production. The film will be written by staff writer Beau DeMayo who wrote the first season’s third episode, titled “Betrayer Moon”. DeMayo is reportedly also writing one of the episodes in the second season.
At this time, we haven’t learned anything else concrete about the new film, but we’ll certainly be paying close attention in the coming weeks.
Our Take
Our love for The Witcher is certainly being satiated and it’s fantastic that so many new people are discovering the IP as the games and books are seeing a large increase in sales. Hopefully this all leads to a new Witcher title from CD Projekt Red sooner than later!
