Children of Morta, developed by Dead Mage, launched just a couple of months ago and has been well received critically, currently sitting at about an 80 on review aggregate sites. In case you missed the game when it launched, you’re in luck as it’s now available on Game Pass! Below is info on the title along with some gameplay that was shown at X019.
Children of Morta is an action RPG with a rogue-lite approach to character development, where you don’t play a single character – but a whole, extraordinary family of heroes. Hack’n’slash through hordes of enemies in procedurally generated dungeons, caves and lands and lead the family of Bergsons, with all their flaws and virtues, against the forthcoming Corruption.
Our Take
We’ve heard many good things about Children of Morta though our team hasn’t officially reviewed it. Looks like we’ll be joining others in jumping in soon!
