In a pleasant Friday surprise, Nintendo announced this morning that the original Doom trilogy has launched on the Switch.
- The original Doom includes the local 4 player modes along with the expansion “Thy Flesh Consumed”. It is available now for $4.99.
- Doom 2 includes the local 4 player modes along with the expansion “The Master Levels”. It is available now for $4.99.
- Doom 3 includes the expansions “Resurrection of Evil” and “The Lost Missions”. It is available now for $9.99.
Our Take
While this certainly isn’t overly exciting news as the Doom ports have been available on various platforms for many years, it’s cool to see all three of the titles on the Switch. If it’s been a while since you’ve played through them, now is as good a time as any to jump back into Hell!
