Today Nintendo announced that a new model will release for the main Nintendo Switch console, not the Lite. Battery life range increases from 2.5-6.5 hours to 4.5-9.0 hours. This will also outlast the new Switch Lite version (3.0-7.0) that is due out in September.
You can expect to see this console in North America and Japan in August, while Europe will release in September.
Our Take
It’s great to see Nintendo release a more efficient console as the battery was one of its weakest features. We’ll report more as we learn more solid information.
