As we’ve now learned, instead of this year’s Call of Duty being “Modern Warfare 4”, Activision and Infinity Ward are going with a soft reboot instead and simply calling it “Modern Warfare”.
It’s now been uncovered that we can expect the official reveal of the title to occur later this week on May 30th (Thursday). What exactly will be revealed we are unsure, but we can expect at least a trailer and date for further information. Stay tuned!
Our Take
Given everything we’ve learned about the MW reboot, we’re pretty curious to see how this plays out. A return to the classic Call of Duty delivery is interesting, but will audiences still flock to it like they have in the past given the current market state? We’ll soon find out.
