The next update for Black Ops 4 introduces a new character for MP and Blackout named Spectre. Additionally this update introduces three new maps (WMD, Artifact, and Masquerade), new modes, new Zombies content, and more!
Spectre Rising launches April 30th on the PS4 with PC and Xbox One likely launching the following week. From the official channel description:
Operation Spectre Rising introduces Spectre as the latest Multiplayer Specialist and Blackout character. Drop into the Wetworks Map Update which has transformed Blackout following an explosion at Hydro Dam. Additionally, unlock new weapons, take on challenging new Zombies Gauntlets, and much more in Operation Spectre Rising.
Our Take
As expected, the content continues for Black Ops 4 in the typical Call of Duty fashion. While it keeps the game fresh and players playing, we have to wonder if Call of Duty will ever change the formula. With Infinity Ward producing Modern Warfare 4 later this year, we won’t be surprised if there’s a shake up in what’s offered (as we already know campaign is returning as well).
