Yesterday Neill Blomkamp, the director responsible for such movies as Chappie and District 9, began teasing something Anthem related. This morning, Bioware announced that this Thursday, they will debut a live-action short directed by Blomkamp and titled “Conviction”. It is set decades prior to the beginning of Anthem and will help build the lore prior to the launch of the game.
Our Take
These types of world building efforts by developers are always appreciated, particularly in the case of a new I.P. that is creating a new universe for players to uncover. We’re particularly excited for this short given the talent associated with it. There’s certainly a lot of Anthem goodness coming this weekend!
