It always seems as though fans can’t get enough of Ash and the Evil Dead franchise. So despite Ash vs. The Evil Dead being cancelled after three seasons, there’s still some good news coming down the pipeline. According to sources, Bruce Campbell will reprise his role as Ash in an upcoming video game. As reported by Bloody Disgusting, Bruce Campbell had the following to say:
I have previous obligations I have to fulfill. They are doing a video game. A whole immersive kind of dealio. I’ll be Ash for that, because I wouldn’t want someone else’s voice hamming it up.
We don’t have any specific details yet, but we’ll certainly keep you updated as we learn more.
Our Take
The Evil Dead franchise has had a rabid fanbase for over 35 years now so a new game is certainly welcome. We just hope it does the series justice and offers us something intriguing rather than forgettable. No matter what, with Campbell playing Ash, there will no doubt be some laughs along the way.
