Categorize this in unexpected but welcome news! Timesplitters was one of the most beloved shooter trilogies of the 2000s and fans have been asking for its return for a very long time now. With THQ Nordic finishing up their work on Darksiders 3, we hope this means they have future plans for the long dormant IP. The deal also included Second Sight, a science fiction adventure game which released in 2004 for the Xbox, PlayStation 2, and Gamecube.

Our Take
This is tremendous news though the genre and gaming world has changed massively since Timesplitters was last a hit. It will be interesting to see what THQ Nordic has planned for the IP, but we certainly can’t wait to hear more!
