After removing weather effects prior to the 1.0 release on PC last year, PUBG Corp. has been working on bringing the feature back. It will debut first on Sanhok in which a percentage of matches will be held under cloudy skies which can then evolve to include rain, fog, etc… According to the video below, the feature will be added to Erangel and Miramar at a later time. Have a look!
Our Take
We frequently comment on our love for PUBG and as the game continues to evolve, dynamic weather is something that’s near the top of our wish list. The ability for the circumstances of a match to change in real time always creates more tension and we hope this is implemented well (and that it comes to Xbox before the end of the year!).
