As expected, we finally have a real sense as to when Crackdown 3 will be releasing. Windows Central is reporting that Microsoft has revealed to them that the long-in-development title will arrive in February next year. According to rumors, this is due to Microsoft wanting to invest more money and development resources into the title to ensure it can be another AAA pillar in their library next to Halo, Gears of War, and Forza.
Our Take
Crackdown 3 has tremendous potential but until we truly see the campaign and multiplayer running at its full potential, it will continue to remain merely potential. We believe Microsoft is doing the right thing here and we hope that expectations are met when the anticipated game finally launches. We’ll be reporting more on Crackdown 3 from E3!
