Bandai-Namco has just announced a delay for the Nintendo Switch version of Dark Souls Remastered and the accompanying Solaire Amiibo. No specific date was given other than the game releasing in “Summer of 2018”.
The Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4 versions of Dark Souls Remastered will still release on May 25th as planned.
Due to the nature of causality, we must announce that the Nintendo Switch version of #DarkSoulsRemastered will be pushed back to summer of 2018, and with it, the release of the Solaire of Astora amiibo.
PC/PS4/X1 versions will maintain their May 25th release date.

Our Take
We know Switch owners were anxiously awaiting Dark Souls so this is rather disappointing. We have no details as to what has caused the delay, but we suspect it has purely to do with performance of the title on the Switch as it can take extra time to polish especially when in handheld mode. We’ll update you as we learn more!
