With Boss Key Studios officially ending Lawbreakers development, it was only a matter of time until we saw what they’ve been working on. The answer is a zany looking title looking to capitalize on the Battle Royale craze.
According to the trailer’s description, Radical Heights will allow you to “Partake in high-stakes gunplay in a sunny SoCal dome as you loot for weapons, gadgets, cosmetics, and CASH that you take with you – win or lose! Survive to the end or risk it all in this irreverent action game show where everyone wants to be rich and famous!”
Our Take
We certainly expect there to be a wealth of Battle Royale games hitting the market over the next 12-24 months so this isn’t too terribly surprising. We are however, surprised that Boss Key Productions, after the failure of hero shooter Lawbreakers, would choose to chase another hot-at-the-moment genre like Battle Royale rather than trying to create something unique. It’s far too early to tell if this game will find success, but we’ll certainly be keeping an eye on it.
