As has been rumored for a long while now, Shadow of the Tomb Raider has been leaked and it is indeed launching this year. A teaser appeared for the full unveiling which is to occur tomorrow, March 15th, at 6am PST / 9am EST.
However, upon examining the HTML code of the teaser, it was discovered that Shadow of the Tomb Raider is indeed the title and it will launch on September 14th. As we know, the title will be developed by Eidos Montreal instead of the Crystal Dynamics team which is working on a Marvel Avengers title.
Our Take
The worst kept secret in the industry is finally out officially and we are certainly excited. The Tomb Raider reboots have been truly incredible games and we can’t wait to finish Lara’s origin story. We just hope that Eidos Montreal continues or expands upon the work that Crystal Dynamics has done to date.
