Sony seems to be going all-in with the God of War reboot. The title already has multiple limited and collectors editions, and now a special edition console will join the offerings.
The PlayStation 4 Pro bundle will include a physical copy of God of War alongside a limited edition PS4 Pro with graphics inspired by Kratos’s axe from the title. A limited edition controller is also included along with some digital content for the title. The bundle will retail for $399 and be available on April 20th.
Our Take
We’ve been rather critical of the special edition offerings from Sony over the past few years but this looks to be a step in the right direction. We like that it comes with a full physical offering of the game and the console is certainly sharper and more customized than some of Sony’s other special editions. We hope this trend continues with titles like The Last of Us 2!
