It seems EA Play will occur once again in 2018 as a sideshow to the E3 festivities. Electronic Arts has announced the conference will run from June 9th through 11th and will feature several playable games including the latest in the EA Sports lineup, The Sims 4, Anthem, and likely the most surprising of the list, the next Battlefield title.
Tickets will be free and you can find the formal announcement from EA here: EA Play 2018 Announcement
Our Take
We’ve heard that the next Battlefield title would be arriving this Fall but we had trouble believing it until now. But if the game is already playable, and will be presented to fans to play in June, then it seems a Fall release is definitely occurring. This is exciting news and of course we can’t wait to see how Anthem is shaping up. SG will be covering E3 this year for the first time live so we’ll keep you posted on whether or not we will be including EA Play in that coverage!
Hopefully they will handle the new Battlefield title better than they handled Battlefront 2
For sure. I have to imagine they have accounted for the mistakes in the past few titles.
