Hi-Rez Studios Unveils New God, Conquest Map, Pantheons for Smite

Hi-Rez studios, hosting HRX and the Smite World Championships, unveiled the latest content additions for Smite coming in Season 5.

First up, the Conquest map is being updated and it’s quite makeover. Game Designer “Ajax” Walker had the following to say:

“The Season 5 map will feature perfect vertical symmetry between Order and Chaos. Lanes and Jungle paths will have the exact same shape on top and bottom. This balances the map, and removes timing differences to each side. Overall, this creates a more consistent gameplay experience.”

Beyond the obvious changes, Smite fans were also very pleased to see Hi-Rez pay homage to a beloved member of the Smite community, Allied, who sadly passed away last May from cancer.

Next up, the latest god to be added to the roster is Cerberus. Cerberus, the guardian of the underworld, marks the 93rd playable “god” in Smite. He will be a Guardian class god and playable in update 4.25 on January 9th (PC).

Lastly, Hi-Rez announced two new Pantheons joining the game in 2018 ; Voodoo and Slavic. No gods have been announced at this time but they did say they wanted more freedom to create exciting gods and would not rush to fill the Pantheons.
