Reported earlier today, Disney has chose to end its relationship with Gazillion and will therefore shut down Marvel Heroes, including the console versions. A statement reads as follows:
“We regret to inform our Marvel Heroes fans that we have ended our relationship with Gazillion Entertainment, and that the Marvel Heroes games will be shut down. We would like to sincerely thank the players who joined the Marvel Heroes community, and will provide any further updates as they become available.”
Our Take
This is depressing news, especially for console fans who have only recently joined the fray and likely spent money on in-game content. How that will be handled is unclear, but we certainly hope they have a plan for those players in some form.
