Developers have been really impressed with the Xbox One X hardware, and you can now add Blizzard to that list. While Diablo 3 has already been updated to 4K on the Xbox One X, we can now expect Overwatch to be updated in the near future. The official quote from Blizzard is as follows:
Overwatch team is excited with great possibilities Xbox One X opens. The team is currently exploring how the game experience can be enhanced on this platform to leverage the console’s incredible hardware, and is working on implementing 4K resolution in the game on Xbox One X. It is very important for the team to make sure the user interface looks natural on a truly big screen. We will share more details about our plans for 4K support on Xbox One X later.

We continue to hear from development teams just how impressed they are with the Xbox One X. And now that fans across the world have their hands on the hardware, they seem to be very impressed with it as well. Nearly every game looks and runs better on the Xbox One X compared to the rest of the consoles on the market, so it’s really no surprise that one of the most popular games on the market in Overwatch will be receiving an Xbox One X specific update.
