One of the surprises of TGS was the announcement that Final Fantasy 9 would be releasing on the PlayStation 4. Even more surprising, it launches today!
Our Take
While we appreciate bringing Final Fantasy 9 to the PS4, it is a shame that players who supported the re-release on prior platforms continue to receive no support on the PS4 while this is another full priced option. Also, for awareness, this is a port of the mobile and Steam version of title not the original “PSOne Classic”. Regardless, FF9 is a beloved title and one of our favorite Final Fantasies among the SG crew. If you like JRPGs and have never played FF9, get to it!
