The Witcher began as a series of short stories in the 1980s, but for gamers, it’s been a lot shorter period of time. In fact, it’s now been 10 years and CD Projekt Red is celebrating by doing a panel and some celebrations at PAX. Additionally, they’ve provided a 10 year anniversary trailer which you can find below. We’ll share the panel if it becomes available as well!
Our Take
The Witcher is very popular at SG and we hold The Witcher 3 to be among the greatest games ever made without question. As a developer, we also think very highly of CDPR and thus it doesn’t surprise us at all that they are celebrating with fans. While Cyberpunk 2077 is one of our most anticipated titles, we certainly hope we see more of The Witcher franchise in the future.
