PUBG is all the rage right now and it shows no signs of slowing down. And not only is it destroying Steam, it’s about to be shown at Gamescom on the Xbox One X as well which will continue to add new players over the next few months.
As of yesterday, it was reported that over 7 million copies of the title have been sold and it’s also passed 600,000 concurrent users on Steam ; a feat that had previously been reserved for only the largest of games like DOTA 2.
Our Take
We haven’t seen a game populate the social space so heavily in a long time. It seems no matter where you talk about games, Battlegrounds is part of the conversation. For a game that hasn’t even officially released yet, it’s incredibly impressive.
