We Happy Few from Compulsion games has been quietly in development since it released on the Xbox Preview program last year. Since then the team has been hard at work and it seems that even grander plans have formed. The title will now be published by Gearbox Software and will launch in full form on April 13, 2018 for the Xbox One and Windows PCs as a Play Anywhere title as well as on the PlayStation 4 and Steam. It’s price will go up to the full retail price of $59.99 and there will also be a $149.99 collector’s edition offered.
For now, the latest update titled “Life in Technicolour” has been released today for Preview and Early Access members. It features an updated UI, new joy effects, and “more” according to Compulsion.
We’ve been following We Happy Few closely and Porshapwr has put time into the original build on the Preview Program. This all sounds like good news on the surface though we are concerned that a new publishing partner could cause issues for the game’s arrival. In the meantime we’ll continue to follow the game and keep you updated as we learn more!
