In a rather surprising announcement, Ubisoft announced today that the next three months of Rainbow Six Siege development will be purely focused on improving the game rather than adding new content.
As you can see from the diagram they provided, the core focus for the development team will be technological improvements, a new content deployment process, and bug fixing. From there, they will be following this road map:

Our Take
We applaud this heavily. We wish more developers would take the time to stop and resolve major issues with their titles rather than continually adding content while existing issues persist. We realize of course this isn’t possible for all developers, but we hope this behavior becomes more prevalent in the future.
