While Nintendo isn’t holding a traditional E3 press conference, they do still have plans for a media event. Today, they provided a little insight into what we can expect.
- On Tuesday, June 13th, at 9am PsT / 12pm EST, they will hold the Nintendo Spotlight via E3.Nintendo.com to highlight the titles coming in 2017.
- Directly after the Spotlight event, they will hold a Treehouse event with members and developers to discuss the Switch and 3DS.
- The ARMS and Splatoon 2 Invitationals will be held on June 13th and 14th at the Nintendo booth.
- Super Mario Odyssey is the main focus and will be playable at E3.
It’s great to see Nintendo supporting E3 in this fashion. After the announcement that they would not hold a traditional press conference, we wondered how they were going to be involved in E3. We’re certainly excited to see what Nintendo plans to offer through 2017 and into 2018 and of course, the world is waiting to see and play Mario Odyssey.
