Path of Exile Heading to Xbox One in 2017

Grinding Gear Games, makers of the popular ARPG Path of Exile on PC, announced that they are currently at work on porting the game to the Xbox One.  Expected later in 2017, the game will continue to be free to play and release as version 3.0 therefore containing all the previous updates from the PC version along with the new Act 5.

Our Take

This is tremendous news for Xbox One owners who are a fan of ARPGs.  PoE is an incredibly deep and well developed title within the genre and has steadily expanded and improved since it’s initial release in 2013.  For those who like to really spend time on their characters to maximize their potential, the skill tree in PoE provides near endless opportunities to do so.  As Diablo Ultimate Evil edition handled the console transition so well, we have very high hopes for Path of Exile to do the same.
