One of the funnier revivals of a classic IP has been Battletoads. A classic from the 8-bit era renowned for its excruciating difficulty, Battletoads has been brought back to life by Dlala Studios (in partnership with Rare) for the Xbox One and PC.
The launch trailer was released this morning with the title officially launching on August 20th. It will launch into Xbox Game Pass and also be available on Steam.
Our Take
It’s always fun to see classic IPs come back with a new age look. In the case of Battletoads, it’s certainly not going to change the industry, but in our experience it’s a very fun game to jump back into especially in co-op. We’re looking forward to it!
