Thomas Mahler, Game Director on the Ori series for Moon Studios, took to the web yesterday evening to make a few comments on their upcoming title.
According to Mahler, they feel that Will of the Wisps is a much fuller experience than Blind Forest and that their goal from the start was to create what “Super Mario Brothers 3 was to Super Mario Brothers 1″.
Mahler also noted that Will of the Wisps was developed by a team 3 to 4 times the size of Blind Forest and that the title keeps the core intact, but is massively improved all-around.
Ori and the Will of the Wisps launches on March 11th for Xbox One and PC and is included in Xbox Game Pass. It’s also worth nothing there is a gorgeous collector’s edition available as well.
Our Take
Our experience with Ori and the Will of the Wisps so far has been excellent and we are fully confident it will be a title that is critically acclaimed and remembered for some time. We’re only a few weeks away!
