This morning, Nintendo held a Legend of Zelda Direct to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the franchise. And boy, did they ever offer some fan service along with, naturally, a long look at the The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time remake. Let’s dive in.
First things first, Ocarina of Time Remake will release on November 5th. It has a long list of upgrades, quality of life improvements, and refinements that really stood out during the presentation. These included everything from a full graphical overhaul, modern 3d controls and the ability to jump, voice-acting, and more. Series Producer, Eiji Aonuma, demonstrated by playing a few sections of the game.
To close the presentation, Nintendo offered a new, 3-minute long trailer to show players what they can expect in the full release.
To further celebrate with fans and offer collectibles to celebrate OOT coming back, Nintendo will be offering two new Amiibos along with a OOT-themed Nintendo Switch 2 console and Pro controller.
Finally, for lifelong fans who may want to tear up, Nintendo offered this orchestral arrangement of the themes of Zelda. Beautiful!
We’ll have a lot more on the Ocarina of Time Remake in the coming months here at Seasoned Gaming.
