It’s that time again for Microsoft to provide their quarterly fiscal report and it’s not only good news for Microsoft, but specifically the Xbox division. Keep in mind this is for the period ending June 30th and represents Microsoft’s 4th quarter in their fiscal results. You can find the full fiscal report here.
- Xbox content and services revenue up 65% YoY driven by record engagement due to stay at home guidelines.
- Overall gaming revenue up 64% YoY.
Our Take
As we’ve learned over the past few months, gaming has become a bigger outlet than usual due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Gaming companies have seen a large increase in sales and engagement and we expect similar results to be posted by PlayStation and Nintendo. No matter what, it’s a great time to be a gamer!
