It’s confirmed: E3 is returning in 2023. The announcement came this morning from GamesIndustry.biz parent company ReedPop. If you’re not familiar with ReedPop, they are behind PAX, EGX, Star Wars Celebration, New York Comic Con, and other events.
ReedPop will be working with the ESA to organize the event which will be hosted in the Los Angeles Convention Center as it had been for decades. It will feature both digital and in-person events and be open directly to consumers. Passes will go on sale later this year.
ESA President and CEO Stanley Pierre-Louis issued the following statement:
“We are thrilled to bring back E3 as an in-person event with ReedPop, a global leader in producing pop culture events,”
“The past three years have confirmed that E3 convenes our industry like no other event. ReedPop brings world-class talent and a keen understanding of the video game industry, which will serve to enhance the E3 experience for years to come.”
If you missed it previously, The Bitcast discussed the impact of E3 and how Summer Game Fest has attempted to fill the gap in the digital age. We’ll have more to come on E3 2023 in the future!
