Rumored for some time, and even accidentally announced a few months ago, PlayStation has now formally announced their acquisition of Bluepoint Games.
Herman Hulst made the announcement on Twitter while also quipping “None of you saw this acquisition coming” obviously making fun of their own prior slip-up.

Rumors have been swirling for some time that Bluepoint is working on remaking a classic title, either Silent Hill or Metal Gear Solid, but as of yet there has been no confirmation. We will keep you updated as we learn more!
