A report out of both Kotaku and VGC is stating that Rockstar is working on a remastered collection of Grand Theft Auto 3, Vice City, and San Andreas.
According to the report:
- All three games will be sold as the collection, and will be digital only.
- The planned release date is this fall for Xbox One and Series S/X, PS4/PS5, Switch, Stadia, and PC.
- The PC ports might slip to 2022 as console versions are taking priority.
- Rockstar Dundee is leading development
The report also states that dependent upon the performance of this collection, Rockstar is planning to remaster the original Red Dead Redemption as well.
Our Take
This rumor has been swirling for some time but with larger sites hearing from multiple sources of its validity, we’re pretty confident this is a sure bet at this point. One thing’s for sure, not only would we be excited for the collection, but we absolutely want to see Red Dead Redemption as well!
