Hidden Path Entertainment, the studio who assisted Valve with Counterstrike : Global Offensive, is developing an open-world D&D RPG.
Hidden Path Entertainment announced the news on Twitter where they also announced they are hiring for key positions.
Hidden Path is hiring! We are in development on a AAA, third-person, open-world fantasy RPG that will be taking place inside the Dungeons & Dragons franchise.

As you may recall, back in 2019 Wizards of the Coast said that several Dungeons & Dragons games were in development while speaking about Baldur’s Gate 3. It will certainly be interesting to see what other titles are planned as we now know of Baldur’s Gate 3, the Dark Alliance ARPG from Tuque Games, and this.
Our Take
You mention RPG and D&D and quite frankly, we’re there. An open-world RPG in the D&D universe is a large undertaking though, so we’ll have to see how this develops over time. We have to imagine it’s nowhere near release particularly as they are still hiring for technical positions.
