Well this is a nice surprise on a Tuesday morning. Cold Iron Studios, a development studio founded in 2015 by three industry veterans, announced Aliens : Fireteam. According to the trailer, the title is a co-operative, third-person shooter set in the Alien universe 23 years after the original trilogy. It features the following:
- 5 classes with unique abilities
- Gunner
- Demolisher
- Technician
- Doc
- Recon
- 30+ weapons
- 70+ mods / attachments
- 20+ enemy types
- Including 11+ Xenomorphs such as the famous Facehuggers and Praetorians
Our Take
It goes without saying that as seasoned gamers who grew up in the 80s and 90s, Aliens holds a special place in our hearts. There’s a lot of promise with this title and the features sound to be just what fans are looking for. Can Cold Iron Studios deliver? Time will tell but we certainly hope so!
