Crash Bandicoot 4 : Next-Gen Updates Arrive in March

Crash Bandicoot 4 arrived to critical acclaim several months ago, but launched prior the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles. Fortunately the development team at Toys for Bob have been working on enhancements.

The next-gen updates will launch on March 12th for $59.99 and include the following:

  • Shorter load times
  • 4K/60fps gameplay
  • Prior owners receive the upgrade for free and will be able to transfer their save data
  • Additionally, the PS5 version will make use of the DualSense’s adaptive triggers

The title will also launch on Switch and PC (via Battle.net) on the same date for $39.99.

Our Take

We certainly hope more players pick up Crash Bandicoot 4 given its quality and the need for more AAA platformers in the current industry. Though we are a little surprised that the game will retail for $59.99 again for new copies.
