Crash Bandicoot 4 Rated in Japan for Xbox One and PS4

There’s been a lot of rumblings about Crash Bandicoot returning and it seems they were on the nose. Crash Bandicoot 4 “It’s About Time” has been rated in Japan.

The title is being developed by Toys for Bob who also developed the Spyro Reignited Trilogy remakes and is described as follows:

Crash is relaxing and exploring his island in his time, 1998, when he finds a mysterious mask hidden away in a cave, Lani-Loli. The mask is one of the Quantum Masks and apparently knows Aku-Aku, Crash’s mask friend! With the Quantum Masks returning and a Quantum Rift appearing near our heroes, they decide to bravely head through to different times and dimensions to stop whoever is responsible.

Our Take

Revisiting Crash was a lot of fun in the trilogy but at times you could certainly feel how dated the core design was. We’re excited for the possibilities of a new Crash game particularly if it’s up to modern standards for a platformer!
