2020 Special Olympics Announces Xbox Virtual Gaming Event

Virtual Olympics

Microsoft and the Special Olympics have worked together since 2014 and with the on-going pandemic, what better time to collaborate on a virtual gaming event.

“With athletic training and competitions currently postponed due to COVID-19, Special Olympics is looking for new ways to connect, compete, and just have fun. Enveloping this event will be stories of the athletes themselves—allowing a broad fanbase to know who they are, what they care about, how they are feeling—and cheer them on as they discover new community and excitement in playing Forza Motorsport 7.Eleven states will be represented in this year’s event with over 35 athletes participating.”

The competition takes place on May 30th beginning at 12pm PST / 3pm EST and can be viewed via official Xbox channels on Mixer, YouTube, and Twitch.

You can find all the details via the main Special Olympics page here.
