Earlier this year, Naughty Dog delayed The Last of Us 2 from February to May to ensure the title met the high standards of the studio. Sadly it seems, that wasn’t the final delay.
Naughty Dog has just announced that while the title’s development is near complete, due to logistics they simply won’t be able to launch in May as planned. As of this moment, there is no new release date. Their official statement can be found below:
Our Take
This is terribly disappointing news particularly as Naughty Dog had previously stated they continued to be on track for May. It sounds like this may be partially due to the Coronavirus pandemic of course and we simply hope the game is able to launch globally as soon as possible.
